Hummus? Humous? Hummous?

After a visit to rather fabulous Easter restaurant I tasted the best hummus I have eaten in a long long time.

Feeling inspired I decided to make my own as it had been years since I had done so.

My online supermarket shop arrived and I cracked on with making the nicest lunch I have made in a long time!

In a food processor I blended a 400g can of chickpeas, 3 tablespoons of tahini, 3 teaspoons of garlic paste, 3 tablespoons of Olive oil, pepper and some lemon juice.

After a spell of whizzing it away, I toasted a sesame seed bagel to spread it on, and feeling inspired I chucked some spinach into a pan and wilted it with some nutmeg ground in.

The end result was a rather impressive looking (I think so anyway) lunch. And certainly more interesting than the piece and ham that I was planning to eat.

It tasted great and filled me up for hours. Mrs F - 1, boring lunch - 0!!!

Introductions

In the run up to my wedding I have been trying to lose some extra pounds I have hanging around my mid-section. It has been a rather futile exercise (aw, God, don't mention exercise!) as it turns out I am completely and utterly in love with food.

So I thought I would maybe share my love of all things edible, perhaps it will emotionally compensate me for having a rather snug wedding dress!
